250 S. 17th St. Philadelphia, PA 19103

This piece of Philadelphia real estate houses a Pre-war doorman condo building just off Rittenhouse Square. Beautiful one bedroom, two and three-bedroom condominium flats, most with new kitchens and baths. Most 250 S. 17th St. condo units have access to balcony/fire escape- some with a view of lovely Rittenhouse Square. A doorman building, located in the 19103 zip code with charm and an excellent location, 250 S. 17th is just across the street from the exciting new condos at 1706 Rittenhouse and next to the condominiums at The Warwick. Luxury Penthouse units feature views in all four directions! An excellent choice for those looking to buy real estate in Philadelphia that is just steps to Rittenhouse Square Park.

Located on the northwest corner of 17th and Rittenhouse Streets, this quiet pre-war styled condominium building houses just 29 units. Ranging in size from small one-bedroom condos around 770 sq ft up to condos that cover an entire floor and have 2900 sq ft, 250 S. 17th is a doorman building with no extra amenities in terms of parking, gym or pool...which helps keep condo fees reasonably low. The condo building was originally apartments and converted to condos and sold off in 2001. Many of the owners did extensive renovation work, so finding two identical units in the building would be very difficult. Each condo has a separate HVAC system and hot water tank. Condo fees include water and sewer, management, insurance, building maintenance, snow and trash removal, and common area electric (you pay your own electric bill for your internal usage). Many of the condos retain an old-world flavor with moldings, solid wood doors, and large (12" by 12") parquet floors. A block off of Rittenhouse Square in the 19103 zip code and 250 S. 17th sits right next to the ultra-luxurious 1706 Rittenhouse. I have recently seen a few sales in the building that were interesting- One was almost "original" condition and needed a lot of work, the other was a magnificent fully rehabbed condo that sold at a pretty good price!
