River’s Edge has undergone substantial capital improvements over the years, including work involving the garage, courtyard, roofing, windows, and building systems.
Beginning in 2017, the association undertook projects addressing major structural and mechanical components, including roof improvements, boiler systems, garage restoration, and courtyard waterproofing.

My Take
River’s Edge has long been one of my favorite condominium buildings in the 19103 zip code. I’ve sold approximately half a dozen residences here, and I think the combination of generous floor plans, parking, balconies, and location is difficult to duplicate at many competing Center City buildings.
The bi-level layouts are especially appealing to buyers who want the feel of a townhouse without giving up high-rise conveniences. I’ve also found the front desk staff friendly and helpful.
One thing I always emphasize, however, is the importance of reviewing the association’s capital projects and financial obligations. River’s Edge has invested substantially in maintaining the property, and buyers need to understand both the benefits of those improvements and the associated costs.
Living at 2301 Cherry Street
River’s Edge enjoys a convenient location along the Schuylkill River, just a short walk from 30th Street Station, the Schuylkill River Trail, and the office towers of Market Street West.
University City, including the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University, is easily accessible across the river.
