Washington Mews

1110 Lombard St. Philadelphia, PA 19147

Sitting in the Washington Square West section of Center City Philadelphia is 1110 Lombard- the oldest condominium association in the state of Pennsylvania! A real must see for anyone who is looking to buy condo in Philadelphia. Most units are unique, though some repetition does exist in the layout/design of some of these Philly condos. The extensive garden areas are a unique feature, as are the low condo fees and well maintained common areas here at Washington Mews condominiums. VERY close to Jefferson Medical Hospital, grocery shopping (Whole Foods, and Shop Rite), and close to Seger Park- complete with dog park, and playground areas, tennis courts, the works are just across the street in fact! This large tract of Philadelphia real estate is more horizontal (living) than many others in the Washington Square West area.

Known as Washington Mews, these condos are pet-friendly, well managed, and offer a huge variety of layouts and floor plans. My brother and I used to own a unit here and I appreciate the proximity to Whole Foods and CVS. Rental parking available on the next block over. Probably the best thing to happen (or recent development) is the addition of single family homes on the block that are large and very high end in terms of price. The location is pulling well over $1M for new construction. I think that says a lot about the locale. If you visit the site on a snowy day, or trash day for that matter, you will find the common spaces shoveled and clean- something that can not be said for any other low rise developments in Center City. Washington Mews is kinda' what I call the Toyota of Center City values- smart, reliable, dependable, strong in terms of value retention and resale-ability. Many of the condos here are stacked- either an upper or a lower unit. Close to Jefferson Medical and always easy to catch a cab outside on Lombard St. Bus stop right on the corner, and hourly rent cars nearby. Not overly fancy, but a smart buy and condo fees are reasonable as there is no pool, no doorman and no elevators to maintain.
