Nouveau is one of those Old City condos, that tends to fly under the radar, partly because there is very little turnover in the building, so you will never see more than one or two, if any, hit the market in a given year. What I like most is the contemporary architecture, which sets it apart from other historic buildings in Old City. Many of the floor plans are unusually spacious and the windows are huge and soundproof. Secure, indoor parking can be a real advantage in Old City. Buyers looking for a smaller building, good-sized units, parking and a quieter Old City location should absolutely have The Nouveau on their list.

Josh Says: “I’ve lived in other buildings in Old City, but I’m staying put at 122 New Street. The building’s design aesthetic is very updated and contemporary, which suits me just great. The concrete, metal, and glass construction stands out in a neighborhood largely defined by historic houses and conversions. My unit’s open floor plan, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and top-end cabinetry and appliances were probably the first features to grab my attention. My deeded indoor parking completely alleviates the issue of contending with congested street parking. The building is very secure and located on a quiet side street. It is nice in terms of avoiding the nuisance of weekend revelers. I’m always grateful, too, that the building is very pet-friendly and is located half a block from a top-notch dog park.”
