I have been involved with Hawthorne Lofts as the original listing agent and sold 30+/- of these condos. Hawthorne Lofts in the Hawthorne area of Center City houses 53 condos. Roughly 75% of those condos have parking attached (in an open parking lot adjacent to building- just out the back door). Units range from studios condos to two-bedroom condos. Almost every condo at Hawthorne Lofts is bi-level- though the majority of the units on the first floor are known as flats.
One of the most massive common roof decks in Center City Philadelphia! Other amenities include a pool table, flatscreen TV in the community room, a well-equipped gym, a sauna, and a steam room. Each condo at Hawthorne Lofts has it’s own HVAC system, hot water tank, and all have security systems as well. No gas service to the building. 1201 Fitzwater St. is a pet-friendly building. Great proximity to Jefferson Medical.
A few things most folks don’t know about Hawthorne Lofts
1) Floors 2, 3, and 4 have the same layout and floor plans. Only the first-floor condominiums are unique/one of a kind.
2) Hawthorne Condominiums were converted from the old Nathan Hawthorne school.
3) Though the entrance is on 12th street, the legal address is 1201-1215 Fitzwater.
4) The first-floor amenity area is top-notch and has no rival in the mid-rise condominium segment of our condo market.
5) Washer and Dryers are free. Common to everyone and NOT coin-operated.
